An increasing number of new energy vehicles (NEVs) made in Guiyang are being sent around the world, marking a major step forward for the industry in Guiyang and Guian New Area.
A fact-finding team visited the local manufacturing association of the Longquanyi district of Chengdu city – located in Southwest China's Sichuan province – on April 12.
Guiyang city and the nearby Guian New Area in the first quarter recorded 39.13 billion yuan ($6.13 billion) of investment funds in place.
From January to March, Guian New Area registered funds of 8.3 billion yuan ($1.3 billion yuan) in place for all kinds of projects, with 3.35 billion yuan in place for industrial projects.
Representatives from municipal government of Guiyang city signed an agreement with Chinese automaker BYD on April 1, for the company to expand its investment in electric vehicle battery projects and production lines there, among other things.
The Guizhou Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau held an online signing ceremony on March 28.
