Hong Kong-based Yanghua Auto on Aug 1 announced plans to establish four major industrial bases in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, forming a coordinated "car–battery–chip–driving" industrial system.
For the "car" sector, the company will build a sports car customization base, focusing on high-performance pure electric sports cars. Utilizing SAIC Motor's mature technologies, it will offer tailored modification services for premium vehicles.
In the "battery" segment, a cylindrical battery factory will be established in line with Guizhou's strategy of local resource development and on-site transformation. The base will produce high-performance cylindrical batteries for new energy vehicles, with plans to expand into sectors such as low-altitude aircraft and robotics.
For the "chip" component, Yanghua will establish a vehicle-grade memory chip design company, focusing on breakthroughs in memory chips for smart cockpits and intelligent driving systems.
In the "driving" field, the company will launch an intelligent driving technology firm to develop L4-level autonomous driving systems and offer advanced smart driving solutions.
