A Tianjin Air Cargo Boeing 737-800, carrying 18 metric tons of Thai Musang King durians, landed at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport on April 2, marking the launch of the Guiyang-Bangkok all-cargo route.
This new route is Longdongbao's second direct all-cargo link to Southeast Asia. With three weekly flights, it offers an efficient and stable "air logistics bridge" for trade between Guizhou and Thailand.
The airport and local authorities have implemented a pre-declaration system, fast-track inspection channels, 24/7 customs clearance, and a 48-hour expedited release mechanism to streamline operations. These measures ensure smooth cross-border logistics and improve customs efficiency.
The airport has already launched international cargo routes to Dhaka, Yangon, and Bangkok, forming a growing global freight network. Guiyang Customs' data shows a 45-percent year-on-year increase in fruit imports, and with more routes opening, the fruit trade with Southeast Asia is expected to exceed 50,000 tons this year.
The airport is also accelerating the development of an international air logistics hub. Plans include expanding routes to Vietnam and Malaysia, and building a global procurement and distribution network across Southeast Asia.
