In the first half of 2022, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province brought in 16 renowned enterprises, and signed agreements for 38 projects with a combined 30.13 billion yuan ($4.45 billion) in investment.

Guian issued a series of business promotion policy measures in February to accelerate the development of electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, and new materials, and to facilitate Guizhou's five-year campaign to become a stronger provincial capital.

At Guizhou's first-quarter industrial project signing ceremony held on March 28, Guiyang and Guian signed agreements for 22 projects.

Statistics show that by the end of June, Guian had attracted 21 enterprises due to the establishment of standard workshops, fulfilling 61.3 percent of its annual target.

In addition, the new area has been exploring new ways to reduce government procedures needed for new business registration.

Guian added 487 new market entities during the first quarter of this year, bringing the total to 23,015.
