Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province launched 29 major cultural tourism investment projects at a business conference on July 15.
These projects included the development of scenic spots, health and vacation resorts, hotels and rural homestays, involving a total investment of 29.41 billion yuan ($4.34 billion).
Qingzhen city's three investment projects – a culture and creativity park, a provincial forest park, and a scenic area – involved 2.05 billion yuan in investment, Nanming district's three investment projects – a cultural city, an extended stay hotel, and a road – involved 15.34 billion yuan in investment, and Xiuwen county's two health maintenance programs and one ecological tourist resort project involved 3.57 billion yuan in investment.
